Dear Colleagues,

ISPRS has established a new Inter-Commission WG I/V "Autonomous Vehicle Navigation". The terms of reference and planned activities are listed in the end of this email. The WG web page http://shoreline.eng.ohio-state.edu/ICWGIV/ is under construction.

You are either a member of previous ISPRS WG II/1 (2000 - 2004) or a expert in vehicle navigation. We cordially invite you to participate in the new WG I/V. If you are interested, please reply this email and provide your updated title and address (mail, email, phone).

Dear Colleagues,
As a member of ISPRS Inter Commission Working Group I/V "Autonomous Vehicle Navigation" and colleagues working in the relevant fields, you are cordially invited to submit papers to the sessions which this Working Group is organizing in the following symposia:

ISPRS Commission I Symposium "From Sensors to Imagery", July 3-6, 2006, Paris, Marne-le-Ville, FRANCE.

Abstract Submission deadline: February 1, 2006.

ISPRS Commission V Symposium "Image Engineering and Vision Metrology", Sept 27-30, 2006, Dresden, GERMANY.

Full paper submission deadline: April 1, 2006.

We plan to have slight different flavors for our WG sessions in these two symposia:
- UAV and robotic navigation and related theory and applications for Commission I symposium, and
- Land/water vehicles navigation and related theory and applications for Commission V symposium.

However, abstracts and papers in areas related to autonomous navigation can be submitted to either symposium.

We look forward to seeing you in Paris and Dresden.
