recipients of the 2006 John I. Davidson President's Award for Practical
Papers presented by ASPRS (American Society of Photogrammetry and
Remote Sensing) for their paper "Initial Results of Rover Localization
and Topographic Mapping for the 2003 Mars Exploration Rover Mission"
published in the society's journal, PE&RS, vol. 71, no. 10, pp.
1129-1142.  Lab

Associates Dr. Xutong Niu, Ruijin Ma, and Dr.
Tarig Ali
are the third place recipients of the 2006 ESRI Award for Best
Scientific Paper in Geographic Information Systems presented by ASPRS
for their paper "Integration of Mobile GIS and Wireless Technology for
Coastal Management and Decision Making" published in PE&RS, vol.
