Summary
This
meeting was devoted to present the presentations that the research team will
present in the next Digital Government Conference that will be held in Boston, MA in the period May 18-21, 2003. Four presentations have been presented as follows.

Xian Xu reported that he had a conversation with Xutong Niu about his next tasks in the project. He started thinking and preparing to make the program capable of having a browser that expose users only to some data names and allow users to give a position and a data type that the program will download certain geo datasets automatically.

The research team will work on refining the presentations
and preparing the demo for the DG conference.

Dr. Ahmed Elaksher and Ruijin Ma will work on assessing the Lake Erie shoreline extracted from the IKONOS imagery.
o
Ruijin Ma will work on the coastal structure permitting part in the demo.
o
Xutong Niu will work on the data integration
and evaluation part
in the demo.

Center for Mapping
o Tarig Ali will work on the coastal erosion
(for Painesville area) part in the demo.

OSU Geodesy Lab
o Chung-Yen Kuo and Kai-chien (Kevin) Cheng will work on reprocessing the satellite altimetric data to filter out the influence of the low-frequency changes in satellite altimetric observations.

Great Lakes
Forecasting System Laboratory

Vasilia Velissariou will work on the Great Lake Forecasting system to
modify the time
interval of the outputs from the system to match the satellite altimetric data
resolution.

SUNY at Buffalo
o Xian Xu will complete his work on the
following tasks:
1. Make the program capable of having a browser that
expose users only to some data names.
2. Allow users to give a position and a data type that the program will download certain geo datasets automatically.
