Summary

 

This meeting was devoted to present the final version of the presentations and the demo that the research team will present in the next Digital Government Conference that will be held in Boston, MA in the period May 18-21, 2003.  

 

Xian Xu continued to work on creating a mapping between a position on a map (long/lat position) and the location of actual data. He divided the work into several tasks as follows.

1. A module to create a local index that maps a position to geo-names. 

2. A module that collects information of  the data that is available for each geo-name at www.webgis.com. 

3. A module that maps a position and a type of data to the actual location of data. 

Xian reported that he is almost finished the modules in step one.

 

Action List

 

The research team will travel to Boston, MA to present the research results at the 2003 Digital Government conference.
