Summary:

Vassilia Velissariou reported that she has finished generating the 11-year water surface and has calculated the yearly, 5-year and 10-year averaged water surfaces based on her generated 1991-2001 water surfaces. She is working on the 11-year data comparison with altimetric data for Lake Erie.

 

Alok Srivastava is working on improving the Shoreline Erosion Awareness System. He will add a geocoding function and dynamic layer display into the system. He has also been working with Dr. Bedford on the water surface prediction and working on the shoreline prediction model for Painesville.

 

Xian Xu reported by Email that he has finished refining the ODNR 2D ArcIMS-based web system and has transformed the 3D DEM visualization into a Java-Applet. He is now working with Xutong on Web Services for the distributed spatial system.

 

Xutong Niu reported that he submitted the mobile system paper to PE&RS. He has finished aerial photograph triangulation for Tampa Bay. Also, he is working with Xian Xu on the web service-based spatial system and with Alok on the Shoreline Erosion Awareness System.

• Xutong Niu will work with Xian Xu on the web service-based system and the 3D visualization. He will also generate high-resolution DEM and orthophoto for Tampa Bay.


• OSU Geodesy Lab
• Chung-yen Kuo will do the altimetry-gauge data for the Tampa Bay comparison.


• OSU for Mapping
• Alok Srivastava will work with Professor Bedford on Tampa Bay modeling. He will also work on the shoreline prediction model for Painesville.


• Great Lakes Forecasting System Laboratory
• Vasilia Velissariou will finish the 11-year water surface data comparison.


• SUNY at Buffalo
• Xian Xu will continue working on the 3D visualization module for the ODNR System, and will work with Xutong on the web-services-based distributed system.


• Future Meetings
