Objectives
  • Develop a strategy and a system for seamless integration of vertical and horizontal data used in navigation, bathymetry, coastal management, and topographic mapping
  • Develop a spatio-temporal modeling system that produces shoreline with different definitions,
  • Develop a hydrological modeling system that produces Water Surface Model (WSM) needed for shoreline generation and datum conversion
  • Validate the methodology using long term observations of shorelines, underwater and coastal data, topographic data, and remote sensing data
Pilot site areas
  • Lake Erie (Ohio)

  • Tampa Bay (Florida)
